Who We are

We are inspired by a future where children grow up understanding that we are part of nature, not separate from it. We believe nature is one of the greatest places for children to learn, explore, and grow. Through nature-based education, we nurture curiosity, creativity, responsibility, and a sense of wonder, helping children build a lasting relationship with the natural world and the communities they are part of.

Our Journey

Ecolia was founded in 2023 as a small initiative with a big vision: to create meaningful learning experiences that reconnect children with nature. What began as a single forest school project has grown into a broader educational initiative focused on environmental and media education, outdoor exploration, creativity, and community participation. Our founder’s vision was to expand educational opportunities for children growing up in an increasingly digital world, where childhood, connection with nature, wellbeing, and meaningful learning should be a priority for every child.

At Ecolia, we believe children learn best when they can explore, question, create, and experience the world around them. We encourage critical thinking and learning through practical experiences, helping children develop a deeper understanding of nature and their place within it. By combining outdoor experiences with creative and educational approaches, we inspire children to discover the natural world, understand the challenges it faces, and explore their own role in creating a more sustainable future.

Today, Ecolia continues to build an international and inspiring community of educators, collaborators, researchers, children, and problem-solvers. Together, we share a commitment to strengthening communities, and creating meaningful learning opportunities that are accessible to children from different backgrounds and with different resources.
